Phoenix Central Library -
Shaping 21st-Century Libraries
An imagebase of photographs and other visuals assembled as a digital companion volume to Building Libraries for the 21st Century: The Shape of Information, by T.D. Webb, a paper publication of McFarland & Company, Inc., Publishers,
(2000, reprinted 2004).
When Building Libraries for the 21st Century: The Shape of Information was published in 2000, a large number of photos, floor plans, and other visuals that were submitted by the contributors could not be included in the book. In conjunction with the reprinting of Building Libraries, McFarland & Company, Inc., Publishers, and the Digital Academic Press of California State University, Sacramento, are jointly publishing this digital supplement of photographs and other images that were included in the book, as well as others that were not included. We believe that releasing the larger collection of images will significantly increase the usefulness of the book, and that this innovative blend of print and digital formats produced by joint publishers will help set a new trend in academic and scholarly publishing.
